Rougemont, Quebec – The Montreal OASIS Marathon Rock ‘n’ Roll can count on the support of Lassonde and OASIS juices, for another seven years. The announcement was made by Jean Gattuso, President and Chief Operating Officer of Lassonde Industries Inc., who pointed out that 2015 is the 13th consecutive year that Lassonde and OASIS juices have been closely involved in this major, internationally renowned event.
“The association between the Montreal OASIS Marathon Rock ‘n’ Roll and Lassonde is the result of the company’s deep conviction that adopting healthy lifestyle habits contributes to the well-being of families and athletes of all levels. It is our way of encouraging people to take care of their health through physical activity and healthy eating,” said Jean Gattuso.
The first edition of the Montreal Marathon was held in 1979, and Lassonde and OASIS juices have been partners of the event since 2003. Since 2012, Montreal OASIS Marathon is part of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series and one of the largest running series in the world. Montreal and Vancouver are the only two Canadian cities that are on the list of 30 prestigious races around the world that make up the Rock ‘n’ Roll series.
“The OASIS brand’s association with an event like the Montreal Marathon seems both healthy and natural to me,” continued Jean Gattuso. “Healthy, because we encourage thousands of runners and the population in general to take part in this prestigious race and quench their thirst with juices that are good for their health. Once again this year, over one hundred Lassonde employees and friends will be participating in one or another of the Montreal OASIS Marathon Rock ‘n’ Roll activities held in the city streets on Sunday, September 20. To encourage employees to take part, Lassonde will pay their registration fees and transportation expenses, in line with its conviction that every effort to help people adopt healthy lifestyles has a positive impact on society, by relieving pressure on hospitals and reducing health system costs for society.
During Expo-Marathon, held on September 18 and 19 at Place Bonaventure, OASIS is pleased to invite participants and visitors to check out its booth and sample a healthy product from the OASIS juice family. On the day of the Marathon, OASIS stands at La Fontaine Park will give greet runners and visitors and give them a chance to quench their thirst.
